Lantz Mills from Hutchenson's
Old A. J. Hoover home at left; Lantz Roller Mill up road;
Hite house center of picture on ridge
of hill. Jack Hoover (1855-1932) moved to this home from his place at Calvary
about the turn
of the century to become the miller for his son-in-law, Walter Stoneburner
(1876-1923) at the
close-by mill. It was in this home that Carl F. Stoneburner (1905-1993),
photographer of many
of these pictures, was born. The Hoover house was destroyed by flood circa. 1990
and was rebuilt a bit farther back from the road (and creek).
